GWR is forever associated with Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the world’s greatest pioneers. So much of what we have today derives from Brunel’s extraordinary vision and enthusiasm for the potential of rail. We are building on Brunel’s legacy and transforming our railway into one fit for the 21st Century.
Over the next few years we will be making history with huge investments that will affect all areas of operations, from new trains to station upgrades and local community support.
As a result of this investment, we are seeking new Drivers to join our team across the network from London and the Thames Valley, through to South Wales and across the South West of England.
Along with all GWR colleagues, GWR Drivers play a crucial role in building trust and loyalty in GWR and rail travel as a whole. The way colleagues embody our values defines our image and presence in the community.
- We are proud and support each other as a ‘railway family’
- We are committed to our customers and their experience of railway travel
- We are aiming to set and meet the highest standards
- We are accountable for performance
- We are dedicated to safety
GWR has harmonised Train Driver terms and conditions across the whole company, resulting in a single grade across our business.
This is truly an exciting time to join GWR and be part of our history.
